I haven’t posted in a while. Oops. Things have been a bit hectic. Work has been busy. Then I got my new car on Friday. My sister wasn’t too happy about the trade, but then we’re not too happy with her right now either. She’s pregnant again by a guy that already has a slew of kids he doesn’t take care of. My mom chewed her out. She told her that she was ruining her life. Since she’s moved out, she’s dropped out of college, wasn’t able to make her car payment for two months (thus the trade), probably ruined her credit and she never has Tori. How is she going to raise another kid? We’re about all convinced that she’s on drugs, and if I thought it was possible to get her into drug rehab, I’d gladly pitch in to pay for it. I hate seeing her ruin her life this way.
On a brighter note, I really like the car. It drives so much smoother than the old one. It just feels massive by comparison, but I think that’s just because it’s higher off the ground than my old one – not like that would take much, though.
I’ve also been reading the Left Behind books by Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. I started reading them back when I was in high school. I probably got about halfway through the series before I stopped for whatever reason. Now I’m picking them back up, but I had to start over because I couldn’t remember much of anything that happened.
Also, next month Half-Blood Prince is in theaters. Blaine and I are already planning to go see it. I’d like to go to the midnight showing, but I have no way of knowing if I’ll have to work the next day, and, if so, I’ll be completely useless unless I don’t have to go into work until later in the afternoon, so we’ll see what happens. I’m really excited about it, though. It’s been a long wait!
A new trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came out last night. Or at least that’s the first time I heard anything about it. It looks absolutely terrific. Each trailer I see just makes me more excited to see the movie. Unfortunately, I still have a long, long wait ahead of me. It’s sad to think that I should be seeing it this coming Friday. At least I have Twilight to look forward to instead. In the meantime, I guess I’ll just have to wait it out with the rest of the fans to see Half-Blood Prince in it’s totality.
So the trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiered tonight. It looks so good. I can’t even begin to explain. I think for the first time I’m actually excited about the movie. Before I didn’t have too much to go on, so my excitement was lacking. Now that I’ve had a glance, I think it’s going to be great. And it did help distract me from Breaking Dawn … briefly.
I think I’ve officially started hating getting mail. It’s always junk. I can’t foresee a point in my life when I’ll need travel health insurance. Of course, I would love to have a reason for it, but right now that’s just a pipe dream. I really need to find a full time job. I have enough money to get by from month to month, but it would be nice not to live that way.
I’m going crazy waiting for Breaking Dawn. I’m very tempted to look at some spoilers, but I know if I do, I’ll just be angry with myself in the end. I’m just too anxious, and it’s making it so hard to deal with the suspense. And the daily quotes are doing nothing to help because they’re only making me nervous. I’m so excited about this book that it’s driving me crazy. I just don’t know what to do with myself while I wait.
I have heard that the Half Blood Prince trailer is supposed to premiere tomorrow, so I’ll have that to look forward to. It’s about darn time! They’ve been posting random covers for stuff like books and videos games, and, honestly, I’m really not that impressed. They all seem to look simliar to things from the past, and some of the images look like someone went a little overboard with the airbrush in Photoshop.
I’m really excited about the trailer, though, so maybe that will help tide me over for Breaking Dawn. In the meantime, I’m reading Twilight for about the millionth time.
