NaNo
Friday, November 23rd, 2007

Well, NaNoWriMo is going well. I didn’t write anything last night and I haven’t so far today, but I only have five chapters left to write. Hopefully, as soon as I clear my head a bit and gather my thoughts, I can start working on the next chapter. I might try writing it by hand again since that seemed to help me last time. Five chapters in seven days is a bit of a tall order, but I still think it’s doable, assuming I don’t slack. I’ll probably lose a bit of time on Wednesday and Thursday as usual, so it’s really about 6 days instead.

getisp.info

These days people have many options when it comes to finding an Internet service provider. Of course, along with all of these various options, often comes confusion. It’s so hard to tell what’s right for you. That’s why it’s always helpful to have some sort of source for information, and getisp.info is just that. Along with providing you with information about Internet service providers and the various types of internet access, it also has an insightful, but brief history of the Internet. For a long time we used dial up, which was slow and made it hard to get things done, but when we finally changed over to a DSL service, it made a world of difference. Finding the right provider, however, isn’t always easy. You want to find that’s right for your needs. With the help from getisp.info, you can compare your options and find the best deal for you.

Thanksgiving
Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Well, Thanksgiving went well. I ate entirely too much, but it very good nonetheless. We had lots of food leftover. We’ll probably be eating it all weekend. My mom looked like she was moving in. She had tons of bags with her when she came.

My mom wants to go shopping tomorrow, and I told her that I’d go with her. I made a list of what I need for who. I’ve budgeted about $125 for shopping, and I went online to a few places to see how much things would be, so I think I’ll have enough to get everything I want to get.

It feels nice for once to have the money and not be worrying about not being able to buy anything for anyone. I just hope I’ll have enough money by the end of the year to pay off my school tuition at the beginning of the year. Christmas is so expensive that it’s just really hard to save. I probably could have done without my iPod until the new year, but I really wanted it. I can’t return it anyway, so I suppose there’s really no reason for me to dwell on it now.

Thanksgiving Shopping
Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

Grandma, Tori and I went shopping for Thanksgiving today. We had to go by the Dollar General to get some places, cups and napkins. Then we had to go to Marsh and buy a few things my grandparents forgot to buy when they went to the store the other day.

I’m making a cheese ball, cheese cake, and veggie roll ups. I might make the cheese ball later tonight. It just depends on how I feel. Right now I’m too tired to bother with doing much of anything productive.

The computer has been going so slow lately. I think we might need to get more memory. The other option would be an external hard drive. We could, no doubt, use it. I’d buy it myself, but I suppose it would probably just be wiser to save up my money to buy my own new computer.

Got My iPod!
Monday, November 19th, 2007

I got my iPod today! I’m syncing my music as I type. I’m quite excited to have it. Yesterday, I spent some time straightening out my checking account. That’s always fun, looking to see how much money you don’t have. Christmas is really going to do me in this year, which is why it’s important to keep track of what I’m spending and where. The iPod was my one big splurge of the year, but at least it was one something I know I’ll get a lot of use out of.

I have several odds and ends I need to buy for people, but I have to wait until the money I transfered from PayPal goes through. Then I’ll probably just go in one trip and buy the things I need to get for people. I have a pretty good idea what I’m getting. I also have to buy my mom a birthday present. I think I might give her one of the CDs I already bought for that, and then give her the Daughtry CD for Christmas and maybe something from Bath and Body Works. I really should make a list!
