Training Courses
Friday, October 26th, 2007

Three years ago, Avand.co.uk started out as a plumbing training company, and in those three years they have expanded to several centers all over the UK. When many of the trained plumbers began to express interest in learning more about sales, avand.co.uk decided to look into this topic and found that it was a popular question. Sales Training is the newest addition to the company. With all of the interest that was expressed, they decided to expand to include sales training as one of the new main focuses in their training courses. Sale skills are important. Just because you have the proper training and know how to do your job, you aren’t likely to get very far if you don’t know how to sell your skill. That’s why this is an awesome and helpful course.

Long Day
Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

It’s been a long day. I went to class at 1:30, but I only stayed until around 3:15. We had to present our posters to two women from the Rescue Mission. They were both really nice and seemed to respond really well to everyone’s posters, so I have no idea who’s they might choose.

One of the guys in my class was talking about how he won a trip to the Bahamas. I must admit, I’m jealous. It reminded me of all of the Orlando vacations my dad used to promise me that never happened. I guess it will be something I’ll have to do on my own one of these days.

Anyway, I came home after my first classes for about two hours. I ate some dinner and watched a couple of episodes of Queer As Folk. I’m pretty sure I’m certifiably obsessed with the show. Then tonight in class we talked about coloring pictures as well as some more stuff to do with restorations. I have a feeling that I’m going to be quite busy on Friday in lab.

Nostalgia
Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

So today I was looking at my livejournal, and someone had the cover of the the New Kids on the Block CDs, and it brought back so many memories from my childhood. One of my first boyfriends gave me an NKOTB cassette as a gift once. Granted, I was in the third grade, so it couldn’t have met too terribly much, but even so, it just made me remember that. Next to the New Kids On the Block doll my mom bought me, the other thing I truly vied for was Garth Brooks tickets. My parents had all of the CDs. Oh, those were the days.

Dreary
Monday, October 22nd, 2007

It’s so dreary outside today. It’s definitely starting to feel like fall. I had to go to the post office to mail off Mel and Becca’s birthday presents. Then I came home and fixed some things on my grandpa’s website. Then I watched a little Queer As Folk.

I think I could be deemed obsessed with this show. If I have it my way, I’ll get through the rest of the seasons before November. I know I won’t have any time to watch it once NaNoWriMo starts, and since I was challenges to include something from the show, I thought I’d make it a bit of a reoccurring theme.

It feels so dark in this room. I think we may need new lights. I think the last time my grandpa put some in here, he used the ons that are good for the environment. That great except they don’t give off good light. Oh well.

Cousin’s Birthday
Saturday, October 20th, 2007

Oh, man, am I hungry! I haven’t eaten all day, and I can’t eat for at least another hour. We’re having Cody’s birthday party. My grandma’s been cooking and cleaning all day, and I didn’t want to get her in way by trying to get something to eat in the kitchen.

My poor grandma just looks exhausted. By the end of the night she’s probably going to need medicine for osteoarthritis relief. On top of trying to get things ready for Cody’s party, Allyson dropped Blaine and Tori off here, and then Cody, Trevor and Alec came out here later.

Cody got one of the new iPod nano’s for his birthday, and he asked me to put some music on it for him. That was easier said than done, but I got it done. He seemed happy with the song selections, so I guess that’s all that matters.
