Rain, Rain
Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

Well, I actually got out of the house today. I’ve felt like such a hermit lately. Of course, it was raining the whole time I was out, so it wasn’t precisely pleasant. I had to go by the bank and deposit the money I got as gifts for graduation. Then I had to go by Dollar General and pick up a few things before I went by and picked up Blaine. He wanted to stay the night here tonight, which is nice since I feel like I haven’t seen him in weeks.

This weather, though, is a real bummer. I’ve been reading a lately, and it’s mostly been books by Sarah Dessen, and all of the books take place in this made up town of Lakeview, and any time there’s a mention of the beach, it kind of depresses me because it’s so dreary here. For some reason I always imagine one of those Outer Banks vacation homes while I’m reading.

Speaking of vacations, I’m not sure if we’re going anywhere this year. My mom mentioned vacation, but with her I’m never actually sure if that invitation extends to me. I feel like I’m imposing if I ask if I’m allowed to go. But then if I don’t, I feel left out of all of the family adventures. Blah. That probably means I just need to get a life and find things for myself to do so I won’t feel left out.

Sick sick sick sick sick
Friday, April 4th, 2008

I’ve been so sick this week. I’m not even kidding. There were a few day where I just found it exhausting to get out of bed. Needless to say, I don’t feel like I accomplished much this week. Luckily, though, I don’t think I got too far behind either, so, hopefully, over the weekend, I can play catch up on stuff and sort of break even as far as my workload goes.

After this semester is over and I get through graduation, I feel like I need a vacation just to celebrate my survival. It’s been pretty stressful and hectic. Of course, I’m sure part of it’s just dreading the end of the semester presentations I have to make. I doubt my mom and Bart will be planning anymore vacations to any Branson resorts since their last experience involved a lot of rain. Although, I think the decision was finally made that it’s one of them that causes the vacation to go awry. But maybe they’ll plan another trip to Holiday World or something fun like that. Of course, I’ll have to lose some weight before I venture into the water park again. I feel so gross these days, which is why I’m back on Weight Watchers. So far, so good, all things considered.

Long Day
Wednesday, October 24th, 2007

It’s been a long day. I went to class at 1:30, but I only stayed until around 3:15. We had to present our posters to two women from the Rescue Mission. They were both really nice and seemed to respond really well to everyone’s posters, so I have no idea who’s they might choose.

One of the guys in my class was talking about how he won a trip to the Bahamas. I must admit, I’m jealous. It reminded me of all of the Orlando vacations my dad used to promise me that never happened. I guess it will be something I’ll have to do on my own one of these days.

Anyway, I came home after my first classes for about two hours. I ate some dinner and watched a couple of episodes of Queer As Folk. I’m pretty sure I’m certifiably obsessed with the show. Then tonight in class we talked about coloring pictures as well as some more stuff to do with restorations. I have a feeling that I’m going to be quite busy on Friday in lab.
