I’m stuffed!
Sunday, August 19th, 2007

I went to a family reunion today. There was lots of good food, and I ate entirely too much. It was also really hot. I didn’t realize it was going to be that hot today. Then I had to go by the ATM to get some money out. I owe my grandma $18, and I needed to get gas while I was in town. I only planned to get $40 out, but they didn’t have it as an option, which is weird. At my grandparent’s bank you have to get an even amount in increments of 20. I wound up getting out $50, which is okay since I’ll probably need some money to get something to eat this week between classes.

My mom was flipping out on my brother because, apparently, he’d been texting on his phone and he wasn’t supposed to be doing that. She threw a big fit and took his phone away from him. I told her that maybe I wound up getting my phone too soon. I bet she’ll give it back to him, though. She goes on her rants and then she gets over it later. That’s just the way she is.

I’ve been trying to think ahead this year for Christmas and birthdays. I’m kind of at a loss for what to get people, but I thought my brother might like a model rocket since he’s into that sort of stuff. The only problem is that his birthday is in December, so he really wouldn’t get to do much with it until it warms up outside. I suppose I still have time to figure it out. I just don’t want to wait until the last minute this year and not have a clue what to get people.

Trendiness
Saturday, August 18th, 2007

I finally got my Eisley CD Thursday. Love it. And I got a signed poster, which I thought was pretty nifty. Now I have to figure out what to do with it to keep it from getting bent.

I got a cell phone. We ordered it yesterday, so I’ll probably get it Monday. My grandma added me to her plan for $10 a month and the phone was free, which is cool. I’ll have to see if I can find the pictures again to share what it looks like.

I relented to the trendiness and watched High School Musical 2 last night. I suppose I had to. After all, they’ve been talking about the movie so much for the last year you’d think is was … I don’t know … the most amazing thing over. It wasn’t. It was okay, but I guess I don’t understand the hype. I’m got the movie Hard Candy today from Netflix. I’ll probably watch it later tonight.

I have another family reunion on tomorrow, and between this reunion and the one last week and Tori’s birthday party my diet has totally been messed up. I might just have to restart fresh on Monday. Mom and I are supposed to start walking again then too anyway, which I’m actually looking forward to because I was starting to feel better, more energetic and awake, when I was walking regularly.

I went outside to my grandpa’s little building full of his old radios and such because I wanted to check something on the laptop, and it was so loud in there. He could really use a new desk chair. That one kept teetering and swiveling all around. That have some comfortable looking ones at Bush furniture, but I don’t suppose it matters since my grandpa is the only one that really uses it.

What is this? Up since 6 am?
Friday, August 10th, 2007

I’m quite proud of myself. I went to bed last night at 11 pm. This alone is amazing since I’m usually up until at least 1 or 2 in the morning. I slept all through the night, and I got up a little before 6. I’ll admit, I probably could have done with a little more sleep. I’m actually still a little sleepy, but I’m going to try to stay awake and get myself back into a normal sleeping schedule.

We have a family reunion on Sunday. I’m actually kind of dreading it just because I’m scared of being near a mass of food and trying to keep track of what I eat. We also have another reunion the following Sunday, and I’m dreading that one even more. I’m not even kidding, but there is just so much food at the Tidler reunion. I know I’m going to use all of my flex points in a day, but, moreover, I’m afraid of going over my flex points. It would be pretty easy given the variety of food we usually have, and don’t even get my started on the dessert table. God, help me!
