NaNo Update
Sunday, November 11th, 2007

NaNo is going well! I just finished another chapter. And I’ve met my word count. I didn’t even realize it, but this last chapter I finished was enough to put me over the top. So now all I have to worry about is finishing the last 16 chapters. Luckily, I have 19 days do so, so I think I should be able to manage it. Or so I hope. Wee!

50274 / 50000 words. 101% done!

9 / 25 chapters. 36% done!

I never really had to worry too much about the word count. I knew I could it, but I’m hoping I’ll be able to pace myself and keep finishing a chapter a day. I think my only real worry is school stuff getting in the way. I don’t seem to get as much done on Wednesdays as I’d like since I’m in class all day, but maybe I’ll be able to make up for it, and with three days to catch up should I get behind on chapters, I’m pretty confident I can do it.

NaNo Update

36454 / 50000 words. 73% done!

Well, my word count is getting closer to the goal. I wish I could say the same for the chapters. I’m on the eighth chapter right now. I still have about half of it left to write, but I’m hoping to catch up on the chapters this weekend, so that mean I need to finish through Chapter 11 by Monday. Eep. It’s going to be tough!

Daylight Savings Time
Sunday, November 4th, 2007

I had a weird dream last night. The details are all pretty fuzzy, but I remember something about Las Vegas. Beyond that, I don’t remember much. I’m still feeling kind of confused because of Daylight Savings Time. I feel all off kilter because of it, but hopefully I’ll adjust.

I have some writing to do today. I’ve been writing a chapter a day since NaNoWriMo starts, so I’m pretty proud of myself for that. I only have 25 chapters left to go. God help me! I just hope I don’t get too bogged down with class related stuff to keep up with my writing.

NaNoWriMo
Friday, November 2nd, 2007

Oh my goodness. I’m tired. I went to lab today. I didn’t have much of a choice in the matter. I had to entirely too much to work on to skip today. I feel like I made some progress, but not nearly as much as I would have liked.

NaNoWriMo is going well. I finished the first chapter of my story yesterday and got started on the second one. I lost a little time checking out some real estate stuff for reference, but it was necessary. Hopefully I’ll finish the second chapter today. I’m aiming to finish at least a chapter a day. I think before I get started today I’m going to take a nap.

In A Funk
Friday, October 26th, 2007

Blah. This is all I have to say about this week because that’s pretty much how I’ve felt the whole time. I feel tired and distracted, and I haven’t been able to focus on much of anything. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. I guess I’m just tired.

Honestly, I’m a little worried about doing NaNoWriMo this year. I’m just not amped up for it like I was before. I guess because I have so much stuff that’s going on. I have a lot of assignments for my classes that I need to buckle down and work on. I’m planning to try to work my way through as much of that as I can this weekend. We’ll see how that goes.

While thinking about NaNo, I’ve been thinking that maybe the next time I write a new story, I should try a new location. Maybe a desert. I could look into Arizona real estate and come up with something new. Although I must admit that as of late, I haven’t felt much like doing any writing. I’m in a funk, and I really need to get out of it by next Thursday.
