Credit

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

Well, for once I’m not as stressed out as I had been. I still have a lot of stuff to do, but for some reason I just feel calmer than usual. Maybe it’s because I know that I’m about done with school. As of Thursday, I’ll only have a week left to go. I can’t wait for that. I’m so ready.

So, in a moment of insanity, I suppose, I signed up with this website that does financial reporting only to discover that I really don’t have any credit to be reported on. I guess it’s just as well. Stuff from my school loans did show up on it. Seeing the number I have to pay back didn’t help, but I don’t have to start repaying just yet, luckily.

Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Well, Thanksgiving went well. I ate entirely too much, but it very good nonetheless. We had lots of food leftover. We’ll probably be eating it all weekend. My mom looked like she was moving in. She had tons of bags with her when she came.

My mom wants to go shopping tomorrow, and I told her that I’d go with her. I made a list of what I need for who. I’ve budgeted about $125 for shopping, and I went online to a few places to see how much things would be, so I think I’ll have enough to get everything I want to get.

It feels nice for once to have the money and not be worrying about not being able to buy anything for anyone. I just hope I’ll have enough money by the end of the year to pay off my school tuition at the beginning of the year. Christmas is so expensive that it’s just really hard to save. I probably could have done without my iPod until the new year, but I really wanted it. I can’t return it anyway, so I suppose there’s really no reason for me to dwell on it now.

Got My iPod!

Monday, November 19th, 2007

I got my iPod today! I’m syncing my music as I type. I’m quite excited to have it. Yesterday, I spent some time straightening out my checking account. That’s always fun, looking to see how much money you don’t have. Christmas is really going to do me in this year, which is why it’s important to keep track of what I’m spending and where. The iPod was my one big splurge of the year, but at least it was one something I know I’ll get a lot of use out of.

I have several odds and ends I need to buy for people, but I have to wait until the money I transfered from PayPal goes through. Then I’ll probably just go in one trip and buy the things I need to get for people. I have a pretty good idea what I’m getting. I also have to buy my mom a birthday present. I think I might give her one of the CDs I already bought for that, and then give her the Daughtry CD for Christmas and maybe something from Bath and Body Works. I really should make a list!

Gas Prices!

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Gas prices are ridiculous! I think it was about $3.12 today when I went to get gas. The most I ever put in at a time is $20, but with the way the price keeps going up, it’s no wonder my gas tank hasn’t been full in over a year.

I went to town today because I had to get some cash out of the ATM and get some gas. Then I met my grandma and Tori at the Dollar General Store to pick up some stuff we needed around the house. It’s getting cold out. I hate it. The cold weather always causes my skin to dry out and it just makes me feel … tired. I think it’s because it’s always so dark and dreary outside.

I am, however, looking forward to Thanksgiving. Lots of yummy food and hanging out with the family. I never thought I’d considered that a fun thing.

I hate money.

Thursday, October 18th, 2007

I hate money. I really do. Probably mostly because I never have enough of it, and what I do have never lasts long. With Christmas coming up, I really need to do a better job of keeping track of what I’m spending on what. I do use a sort of budgeting software, but I’m not always that great at keeping track of things. I’m just freaking out now because I have gifts to buy and bills to pay. Blah.

I have to go to the lab tomorrow. We started working on image restoration in my imaging class, and I have a few things to work on for my digital production class. I think I’m going to go in around 10 or so to work on things. I’m not looking forward to getting up early, but that’s life, isn’t it?

I’ve also recently found a new obsession. Queer As Folk. I love it, love it, love it! I’ve been watching it every chance I get for the last few days. :)
