Shopping and stuffing

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

I went shopping with my mom this morning. I got up four, and we left as twenty til five. People are crazy, but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. I got the bulk of my shopping done. I still have to buy for my mom, but I think I’m going to order hers online.

I’m still in recovery from eating so much yesterday, and I just ate another plate full of food today. After we got home from shopping, I went back to bed. I slept from around ten until five. We were talking yesterday about how tired we all were after eating, and my mom said the couch needs foot rests so we can all lie back and take a nap.

I think that maybe investing in some discount home theater seating wouldn’t be a bad idea. Of course, I don’t know that it would give us anymore seating space than we have now, but at least we could kick back and nap after stuffing out faces.

Free Meals Rock

Wednesday, September 26th, 2007

I totally got a free dinner today. The hospital was having some sort of a fair in this strip mall where Shakti works, and she suggested we go there. We got free hamburgers and chips from the hospital, free coffee from Big Ben’s Coffee, and a fee sundae from Dairy Queen. Pretty good if you ask me.

We got some new assignments this week. Nothing I’m particularly thrilled about, so I’m not even going to explain. I am, however, pleased to say that we’re actually using our books, so it wasn’t a total waste to have to buy them.

Exercise Day 2

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007

We have an exercising machine out on the front porch that I’ve decided I’m going to start using every other day - opposite the day I’m walking. I’m actually headed out there as soon as I finish this post. Then I’m going to shower and get cleaned up. I’m going out for dinner with my grandparents tonight. We’re going out for pizza. Yummy. Hopefully, they won’t mind stopping by the Dollar Store afterwards. I need to pick up just about, oh, everything - shampoo, conditioner, hair gel, toothpaste, razor refills, etc. That’s just the stuff I can think of off the top of my head. Eek.

Tori’s here today, and I really love that kid. I still can’t believe she’s almost three. She asked me to read her a couple of stories. She’s absolutely loves books, and she can memorize them and then sit on the couch and flip through the pages and recite the whole thing to herself. I definitely think she’s going to be a bookworm like my mom and I.

My brother is still staying with our aunt and uncle up north. He’s been there for a few weeks now. He went home with them the day of my sister’s graduation party. My mom and Bart went up there Sunday to take him some more clothes. They said he was doing great, and I’m glad for that. But, honestly, I miss him. I’d call him but he never has his cell phone on. Hopefully, he’ll be back in time to go see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Nikki and I. We’ve been to see every movie in the theater together, and I’d hate to break tradition. :(
