June, already?
Monday, June 2nd, 2008

I cannot believe it’s June already. Granted, it’s only been June for two days, it still seems unbelievable that we’re into the sixth month of the year. That means there are only six more moths left of 2008, and that’s just too bizarre to fathom.

This afternoon I lounged around on the front porch while Tori rode her tricycle. She can actually reach the pedals this year. I can’t get over how big she is. It must by mind boggling for Allyson. Of course, I can’t believe my sister is almost 20. I always think of her as still being thirteen. I wonder if it’ll always be that way.

The weather was nice. It was sunny, but there was a breeze. It would have been perfect for walking, but then I think about getting out in the sun and that horrible sunburn I got last year, and I just shrink back. It would be perfect if we had a treadmill on the front porch. I’d still be outside, but out of the sun. I guess we can’t have it all.

Weight Watchers
Thursday, April 24th, 2008

So, I’ve lost eleven pounds since I started back on Weight Watchers. I have to admit, I’m pretty proud of myself. I think if I had more time or motivation to actually exercise, I’d be able to lose more.

I envy people with home gyms. They just have to go into the next room to do their workout. I’m such a homebody. I just don’t like leaving the house, especially to go excercise among a bunch of people who are probably thin and fit.
But even without exercising regularly, just changing how much I eat has helped a lot. I’ve gone to diet pop, which I’ll admit has been a bit of an adjustment. I miss Dr. Pepper. A lot. I think I was addicted, and no matter what people say Diet Dr. Pepper does not taste the same to me.

I really just want the weight to keep coming off. I know the goal in my head is so big that I’m just taking baby steps for now. If I could lose forty more pounds, I’d be happy. Anything over that, would just be that much better. But I can’t let myself think about it that way because if I do, it just seems like my goal is too far away and too far out of reach.

iPod!
Friday, November 16th, 2007

I bought an iPod nano on Wednesday night. Well, that’s when I ordered it anyway. It’s currently in transit. I got the 8GB Product (Red) one with the engraving “I want to believe / There’s something to believe.” It’s from the Hanson song “Believe.” I thought abut choosing something from “Great Divide” since it sort of goes hand in hand with helping in Africa, but I know a lot of people got that engraving. Besides, I think “Believe” fits just as well, and it’s more personal that way.

I can’t believe Thanksgiving is next week. I hadn’t even realized it until someone said something about no classes next Wednesday - Friday. I’m excited for Thanksgiving. My mouth is already watering at the thought of all the food. I still haven’t decided what I’m going to fix yet. The only thing is that this means Christmas will be just around the corner. I have lots of shopping to do. Let’s just hope buying the iPod didn’t set me back too much.

Also, I’m kind of ready for the new year to get here. I’m going back on Weight Watchers then. I’m certainly ready to lose the weight. I’m pretty sure I gained back everything I lost over the summer. The only bad this is I won’t really have many options for exercise. It will be too cold to walk, I’m sure. We really need an elliptical. That would be quite useful for the winter, but I suppose I’ll figure something out.

Frustrated
Monday, August 20th, 2007

Well, I’m back on Weight Watchers today. I haven’t actually ate anything yet, but that’s only because I haven’t looked. We need to get groceries again soon because I’m running out of choices. My mom and I were supposed to start walking again today, but it’s really nasty out. It’s been lightning and thundering and pouring down rain. It’s definitely not the ideal situation for trying to walk. I suppose we can try again tomorrow, or we’re going to have to find a new place to walk. If this keeps up, I’m going to have to start taking something like hydroxycut because not being able to walk and exercise really isn’t helping at all in my quest to lose weight. It’s very frustrating, but I’m trying not to let it get me down.

I had a horrible headache last night, so I wound up going to be around 11:30 or so. I didn’t really sleep that well. The storm outside woke me up, and I still had the headache then. I felt too tired to try to get up and take something for it, though. I managed to sleep it off, but I feel like it might be trying to come back. I’ll probably take something for it before I go and take a shower. I’m in the middle of doing laundry right now. I was down to the point where I didn’t have much to choose from to wear. I also need to check on my phone and see where it’s at. I was hoping to get it today, but I’m not sure it’s going to happen.

Trendiness
Saturday, August 18th, 2007

I finally got my Eisley CD Thursday. Love it. And I got a signed poster, which I thought was pretty nifty. Now I have to figure out what to do with it to keep it from getting bent.

I got a cell phone. We ordered it yesterday, so I’ll probably get it Monday. My grandma added me to her plan for $10 a month and the phone was free, which is cool. I’ll have to see if I can find the pictures again to share what it looks like.

I relented to the trendiness and watched High School Musical 2 last night. I suppose I had to. After all, they’ve been talking about the movie so much for the last year you’d think is was … I don’t know … the most amazing thing over. It wasn’t. It was okay, but I guess I don’t understand the hype. I’m got the movie Hard Candy today from Netflix. I’ll probably watch it later tonight.

I have another family reunion on tomorrow, and between this reunion and the one last week and Tori’s birthday party my diet has totally been messed up. I might just have to restart fresh on Monday. Mom and I are supposed to start walking again then too anyway, which I’m actually looking forward to because I was starting to feel better, more energetic and awake, when I was walking regularly.

I went outside to my grandpa’s little building full of his old radios and such because I wanted to check something on the laptop, and it was so loud in there. He could really use a new desk chair. That one kept teetering and swiveling all around. That have some comfortable looking ones at Bush furniture, but I don’t suppose it matters since my grandpa is the only one that really uses it.
