Sweeney Todd

Thursday, November 29th, 2007

I think that Johnny Depp is easily one of the most talented actors out there right now. He’s been in countless movies with each role more interesting and less expected than the one before. It’s hard for me to pick a single favorite movie moment of him.

I think that his role as Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates of the Carribean trilogy is one of my favorite roles he’s taken, but of the three movies I think I’ll always most enjoy the scene in of the first of the three films, Curse of the Black Pearl, where he’s stuck on an island with Elizabeth Swann. He wakes up the next morning to a fire and discovers that she’s used the rum to fuel the fire. The line that always gets me is “But why is the rum gone?” I think this moment is most memorable just because of the way hilarious way he delivered the line.

I think my other favorite movie moment would have to be from Edward Scissorhands where Johnny Depp played the character by the same name as the movie. I’ve always adored this movie because it had such a surreal feeling to it, and, surprisingly, Johnny Depp really didn’t seem to have a lot of lines, yet I think that was what made the character so endearing. I think my favorites moments are the awkward ones when Edward is just trying to do something completely normal, like get dressed, take a drink or eat his food. The whole movie is about a man who is just trying to fit in, and while it’s entertaining to see him struggle with every day tasks, it’s also a bit sad and disheartening when you look at the bigger picture. Yet Edward almost seems unfazed by it.

I really don’t think that I could narrow down my favorite movies between those two movies. Just narrowing it down to two was hard enough in of itself. Now with Johnny Depp’s latest role in the movie Sweeney Todd, I’m sure that it’s going to be, no doubt, yet another fascinating role. Just from seeing the trailer, I can tell that it’s gong to be quite interesting. If you haven’t already heard about it or seen the trailer then you should most definitely either visit Sweeney Todd on MySpace or visit the official Sweeney Todd movie site to find out more!

These days people have many options when it comes to finding an Internet service provider. Of course, along with all of these various options, often comes confusion. It’s so hard to tell what’s right for you. That’s why it’s always helpful to have some sort of source for information, and getisp.info is just that. Alzheimer’s Foundation of America eStore

Sunday, November 11th, 2007

I know I’ve talked about Alzheimer’s before, and I’m talking about it again. I’m sure it’s won’t be the last time either, as there is no cure for this disease. For people who don’t know about Alzheimer’s, it is a disease that attacks the brain’s nerve cells and results in changes in behavior, memory loss as well as language skills.

By shopping at the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America eStore and buying a holiday gift or two, you can help raise money for the Alzheimer’s cause. All of the proceeds will go to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Not only will this help in seeking the cure for Alzheimer’s, it will also help ensure that those people who suffer from this disease will receive the quality of care they need.

Many times people don’t like to give without getting something in return, which is why the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America eStore is the perfect solution. You have the chance to give more than just a simple Christmas gift to a friend or relative. You have the chance to help ensure that people suffering from Alzheimer’s are receiving the best care they could possibly get while doctors are working hard to search for the a cure for this progressive, degenerative disorder.

Among the possible gifts you can find in the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America eStore are a necklace with a sterling silver chain and heart of care pendant or a braided leather bracelet with a sterling silver pendant.

In light of the upcoming holidays, why not show a little Christmas spirit and help someone else. Since this is a disease where the cause is still unknown, it’s never safe to assume that you or someone you love can’t be affected by it. That’s why it’s important to help support research and those who are already suffering from this disease. Do your part and help in the quest to find a cure for Alzheimer’s.

The Mist

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

It’s that time again! Yet another amazing thriller is about to be released. In case you don’t know what I’m talking about it’s The Mist by Stephen King. When I watched the trailer for this a few months back when I went to the movies, I was super excited to hear about it.

If you don’t know anything about The Mist, it’s, as I said, based on the novel by Stephen King and about a large group of people who are trapped in a grocery store after a large cloud of mist - that seems to have something lurking within - appears. In typical Stephen King fashion, this is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat.

I suppose the creepiest part of this synopsis is that most of us have probably had those moments where it’s dark and storming or a think layer of fog covers everything. Whether we want to admit it or not, there’s something unsettling about not being able to see right in front of you. There have been so many times when I’ve looked out the window on a stormy or foggy night and felt myself drawing away from the window and huddling in the corner with my blankets wrapped tightly around me until it passed.

After watching the trailer for The Mist, I have no qualms about admitting my own fears either. However, I fully plan to head to the local theater to see The Mist as soon as I can. Watch the trailer for yourself and try to tell me that it doesn’t look an amazing and suspenseful thriller!

Biotene Toothpaste

Monday, November 5th, 2007

Biotene Sensitive Toothpaste When I received a sample tube of Biotene sensitive toothpaste in the mail, it came not a moment too soon. I was about out of my regular tube of toothpaste, and rather sick of it to boot. When I gave Biotene a try, I wasn’t expecting much from it because I’m usually not too picky about my toothpaste, but I was pleasantly surprised.

Biotene left my mouth feeling fresh and clean without having to scrub and scrub. Toothpaste usually makes me mouth feel dry with a bit of an unpleasant aftertaste, but Biotene was different. I’ve been using it regularly since I got it, and my mouth and teeth have been feeling so much better than they were. Before I didn’t realize just how much other toothpastes bothered my teeth, but I’ve noticed that my gums don’t feel sore or bleed when I brush, and my mouth still feels fresh and clean hours after brushing.

The flavor Xylitol is nice as well. It’s pleasant, but not overwhelming, so I can brush my teeth in the morning and go eat breakfast a little while later and not worry about my food being hindered by the taste of my toothpaste. It’s also helped a lot with a sensitive tooth that I haven’t yet had a chance to have checked out by a dentist.

The next time I go to the store and need toothpaste I know I’ll be looking for Biotene.
