One week from today I’ll be at Holiday World. It’s a theme park in southern Indiana. I, honestly, can’t remember the last time I went there. I was pretty young. I do remember seeing pictures, but as far as actually remembering it, I can’t. I’m excited to go. I haven’t been to a theme park since my mom, sister, brother and I went to King’s Island about three years ago.
Of course, my biggest concern with going is trying not to get burned. My skin is so fair that it usually takes a lot of sunscreen to keep from ending up looking like a lobster. I have a feeling before it’s all over, I might need to go to one of those San Diego day spas you see in the movies or I’ve heard a few friends mention. Sleeping on our couch has done nothing to help me get much rest. I might also need to see a chiropractor. My neck and back are killing me, and I’ve been getting a lot of headaches. It’s very annoying.

While I’ve been waiting for Nikki to get out of the shower, I’ve been looking at tattoo pictures. I really want to get one, but I can’t seem to commit myself to one design. After all, it’s something that’s going to be on my body for the rest of my life. Naturally, I don’t want to pick something cheesy or stupid that I’ll hate later. I used to have to get a Hanson related one, but I think if I were to get one, it wouldn’t be anything really obvious. I want something that’s personal to me.
Allyson’s been talking about getting one for a while. She wants to get Tori’s name. I don’t know if she’s ever gone to get it prices or not. My mom got her tattoo at Tommy’s, but I don’t think I’d want to go there. I don’t care for them. They’ve never been overly friendly anytime I’ve been in there. Allyson said there’s a new tattoo parlor in Kokomo. I can’t remember what she said it was called or where it’s at, but she went there to get her nose pierced. She said they were cheaper and it the place was really nice, so I might check it out once I’ve decided what I want to get a tattoo of.
I’ve also been thinking about redying my hair. I think I’d probably go lighter, but I’m kind of apprehensive about it. My hair sort of went haywire after I got it chunked with blonde. My hair has never done like that before, but it seemed like all of the places where it was chunked got really dry. I might wait a while. I might get my hair cut again soon too. I really need it about once every six week because the ends of my hair just get to gross and split. Oh, the joy of having unruly, curly hair.

Today was another pretty lazy day. I didn’t wake up until around noon, but I didn’t get to bed until late. We were watching The Stand last night, and we finally got so tired that we had to wait and finish it today. We only had about an hour of the movie left, but I was having too much trouble trying to keep my eyes open.
My grandma, Nikki and I played Trivial Pursuit Junior this afternoon to pass the time. We played the Junior version because we didn’t think we’d do too well with the regular one. I told them that I didn’t like playing games that made me feel stupid. I have to admit that there were a few on the Junior version that I didn’t know either. Oh, well, I wound up winning in the end. Go me!
My brother is supposed to go back up to our aunt and uncle’s tomorrow. Our cousin and his wife are going into town for something and going to pick him up and take him back. He’s going to stay there for about a week, and then my mom is going to go and get him before we go to Holiday World. I think he likes staying up there because they’re always busy. Garrett (our cousin) plays videos with him and takes him to play baseball and golf. I imagine they’d love Callaway golf. It probably has everything they could ever dream of for their golf needs. I wouldn’t really know since I’ve not very sports savvy, but my brother seems to really like golf since Garrett took him to give it a try. Maybe he could join the golf team when he gets in high school since he’s not playing baseball anymore.

I wish I could quit coughing. The stupid sneezing as subsided, but now I’ve just been coughing. My throat really hurts from it too. I have cough drops, but I’m not entirely sure they’re helping all that much. My lips are also extremely chapped. It looks like I’m wearing lipstick because they’re so pink/red. It really hurts.
Yesterday, Nikki and I hung out around here. We were just being kind of lazy, I suppose. We watched A Night At the Museum, and then later we watched more of The Stand. We still have about an hour or so of it left to watch. It’s insanely long. We played Rummikub with my grandma and brother too, but that only lasted about three rounds. Then we did some more scrapbooking. I’ve finished about three pages so far. I still have tons of pages I want to do. I’m just feeling a little overwhelmed trying to figure out what I want to do.
I’m not sure what we’re going to do today. We’ll probably just hang out around here again and watch TV. But I swear if I have to hear another thing about Paris Hilton, I’ll scream. I think she’s about the most worthless person on the face of the earth. Why can’t she be more like George Lindemann Jr? He’s a rich heir that collects art and is benefactor to museums. In other words, he actually does something other than show up and have his picture taken. The other night on one of those entertainment shows - ET or something like it - they actually spent about five minutes discussing what Paris Hilton ate while she played poker. Do people seriously care about this sort of stuff?

I haven’t posted in a couple of days because I’ve been busy. Nikki arrived on Tuesday. Of course, her bus was about an hour late, but she did make her connecting bus, so at least she wasn’t way late. We came back home and ate dinner and just hung out for a while before it was time to leave to go to see Order of the Phoenix.
We got there around a quarter after eleven, and if we would have got there any later, I don’t know if we would have been able to find any seats together. It was completely sold out, and the people sitting in the row behind us was really annoying. The movie, however, was amazing. I think I say this every time, but this was definitely my favorite. I just loved the whole thing.
Then yesterday Nikki and I went to the mall. We got cute purses at Target that were on sale, and I got a new t-shirt. Then we went to Old Navy. I got another 4th of July shirt on sale for $3.50 and a couple more pair of flip flops that were on sale for $2 each. Then we pre-ordered Deathly Hallows before going over to Bath and Body Works. They were having some great sales, and I got a new scent of body spray, lotion, and body wash - Exotic Coconut. Then we went to Blondie’s Cookies and got a few cookies because I told Nikki she has to try them. We looked around Hot Topic, but we didn’t find anything there, so then we went to Starbucks and sat and rested for a while before we headed over to Hobby Lobby to load up on scrapbooking stuff. I seriously think I’m in debt after that. Then we went to Applebees for dinner. Nikki had a couple of drinks to celebrate her 21st birthday, even though she was about a year late. Then we stopped at home for a little bit before heading up to my mom’s. We stopped at Dollar General first because they had scrapbooks, and we both needed one.
We hung out at my mom’s for a while. Then my sister came home. The poor girl looked exhausted. She works at a facility for disabled kids, and she said she got head-butted and her nose started bleeding and wouldn’t stop. I think it’s a wonder she didn’t need to have nose surgery or something. She said it really hurt. I really hope she can find a job at the hospital because I really think it would be better for her. She said where she’s working now is extremely understaffed, but she did just call and say she got a $.20 raise. Apparently, she got it without knowing it because it showed up on her newest check.
So that’s just the been the last day or so. I’m not sure what Nikki and I will be doing today. We’ll probably work on our scrapbooking and hang out around here. I guess we’ll see.
