I have a toothache. I probably need to see the dentist, but I don’t have dental insurance, and it’s really not in the budget, so I guess I’ll just have to deal. :( I’m so tired right now, and I should probably just go bed. Why I’m still awake, I have no idea. I wanted to call it a night at ten o’clock, but I got sidetracked somehow. The story of my life.
So I listened to “The Body” by Stephen King on audiobook the other day, and every since I’ve had the urge to watch Stand By Me. The movie is based on the story, and I hadn’t read it before. I was actually kind of surprised how similar the two are. Or at least they seemed that way. I haven’t watched the movie in a while, so I could be mistaken. Generally, I hate to compare the book to the movie just because the movie usually doesn’t stand up to the movie it’s based on. That’s why I have to think of the Harry Potter books and the Harry Potter movies as two entirely different things. Otherwise, I doubt I’d enjoy the movies as much as I do.
I’ve been watching Fox News, and they’re talking about the missing pregnant woman. I have to admit that I really hadn’t been following the story all that closely, but it’s so scary how someone could just seemingly disappear into thin air like that. I hate hearing news stories like this one becuase they so often end badly. I hope that’s not the case here, but it all sounds very strange.
