New Band. New Music.

I am pretty darn excited right now. I think it’s a pretty well known fact that Hanson has been my favorite band for a really long time. I’ve been in a bit of a funk with my love affair for the band, so yesterday when I heard that Taylor Hanson was doing a side project called Tinted Windows alongside guitarist James Iha (The Smashing Pumpkins), Adam Schlesinger (Fountains of Wayne and Ivy bassist), and Bun E. Carlos (Cheap Trick drummer), I was uber excited. I have no idea what they may sound like, but I think it’s going to be pretty cool just see these people from such different musical backgrounds come together for one album.

I’ve been trying to do some writing today, but I’m feeling a little restless, I guess. I think I might just try skipping around and writing out the pieces I have in my head. Putting it all together and making it transition always seems to be the tough part anyway. I need to get two more chapters finished by the end of the week, and I think maybe the pressure is what’s making things so hard right now.

We’re also getting ready to start work on the bathroom redesign. I’m going to have to move some stuff around in my room since I share a wall with the bathroom, and I’m not particularly looking forward to that. We considered painting my room while we were at it, but I’m not sure if I feel up to the task. I’d have to move everything out, which is a job in and of itself. I’d have to take down all of the stuff on the walls and then put it back up. I think if it came to that, I’d just invest in a digital frame for pictures so I wouldn’t have to actually screw with rehanging everything. I’m incredibly lazy sometime. I think the time to paint my room has already passed. I should have just done it when I got my computer and have to reshuffle everything around in my room. Just remembering the chore of moving everything has me convinced that I can deal with the wallpaper.
