I went to the movies last night for the first time in what seems like forever. I went to see Horton Hears A Who! with my mom, Bart, and Tori. It was the first time Tori had ever been to the show. I think she did pretty good and liked it well enough. It was a cute movie. I won’t say I loved it, but I still enjoyed it. Over the weekend, I watched Tuck Everlasting and Breach. They were both pretty good. I also go Awake from my mom, but I haven’t had time to watch it. I might try to do that sometime today after I do some more.
I got my cap and gown yesterday at school, so graduation is slowly closing in. This is where I pull my hair and scream. There’s still just a lot left to do. I think I’m making pretty good headway on my portfolio, but I also have a big group project that we’re probably going to be working on constantly for the next week and a half. I think it’s going to be fun, though.
I need to make the invitations for my graduation still. I can’t decide if I want to invite my dad. That sounds horrible, but just the idea of facing him is enough to give me an anxiety attack. The best gift he could give me for graduation would be checking himself into drug rehab and getting his life straightened out. Of course, that’s something he can’t do for me. He had to do if for himself, and I doubt he ever will.
Last night I managed to do some writing for the first time in what feels like forever. It was for my story Solace, which is a sequel to Infinite. I only wrote about a page or so, but considering the only other thing I’ve written this year was about a chapter and a half of another story, I’m not complaining. Any progress is progress in my eyes.

Dr. Seuss is classic; after seeing Horton Hears a Who i was reminded how much good stuff that guy can pack into a simple storyline…
